CONCEPT

Historical territory of “Rīgas Piena centrāle” in Valmieras Street 2 revitalize into a multifunctional shopping park FABRIKA.

The charm and value of the Historical buildings are preserved and interact with the planned new facilities. Territory is supplemented by extensive greenery, the historical Linden Avenue and the new central avenue of trees. On the park centre and trees avenue planned events and local farmer’s stores.

FABRIKA is a retail park with different additional functions- health facilities, sports and entertainment services and offices. To preserve the historical production atmosphere there will be couple of local productions.

FABRIKA will be new tourist attraction in Riga.

The origins of the buildings can be traced back to 1864, when the first railway wagon factory was opened on the territory.

In 1927, the Riga dairy artel “Rīgas Piena centrāle” was founded here on the premises of an old factory. For several years, it was the only ice-cream producer in Latvia. It also produced the iconic childhood sweet “Kārums” , which was created around the year 1940 in this particular dairy plant at Valmieras Street 2.

Thus… legend has it that the area is surrounded by positive vibes.
